The RM4.5 billion Second Penang Bridge will be officially open to public this Saturday, 1 March 2014. Prime Minister Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak will officiate the bridge at 8pm, followed by a fireworks display.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, who announced the date yesterday, said the official opening would be a night event. The 24-km Penang Second Bridge connects Batu Kawan on the mainland to Batu Maung on the island.
