mygeorgetown is a collection of short films which paint a portrait of a city in danger of losing its soul. Is George Town’s rich cultural history dying when people like the 91-year old Mr. Ong is forced out of his building? Or is the city simply reinventing itself with a new generation like Elyas who opens George Town’s first vintage barbershop? The films are narrated by the director, Ryan Anderson, who also tells background stories in-between films. The mygeorgetown films were premiered at the George Town Festival 2015 in Penang, Malaysia. All the films have English subtitles.
